What this world is

Draxland is an independent TRIFUSE world IP centered on the Draxland Empire, a rising power in eastern Orloba.

Once divided among multiple Draxxen states, Draxland was recently unified under Chancellor Alaric von Eisenwald. Industrialization, military expansion, and a growing nationalism have transformed the new empire into one of Orloba’s rising powers, unsettling an older balance between nations.

But political unification has not brought intellectual unity.

For centuries, the Goddess Faith shaped morality, scholarship, and the institutions of society. The Goddess is still worshipped, Her name still carries authority, and the old institutions still stand. Yet factories, universities, science, and new political ideas are changing how people understand the world around them.

Draxland is a society becoming modern faster than its inherited truths can follow.

University of Bonstein

At the center of this change is the University of Bonstein, one of Draxland’s leading institutions of scholarship.

Here, theology still carries authority, but philosophy and science increasingly test the boundaries of what can be questioned. The university is both a product of Draxland’s intellectual golden age and one of the places where the contradictions of the new empire are becoming hardest to ignore.

Lead character

Frederica Wilhelmina Frommann is the lead character of Draxland: the youngest full professor at the University of Bonstein, and the philosopher who argues that humanity already killed the Goddess.
