Eutopia 2066

After the Convergence

Near-future science fiction. Alter Worlds are ordinary. Humanity got the future it once dreamed of — and now has to decide what to do with it.

What this world is

Eutopia 2066 is an independent TRIFUSE world IP set in 2066, in an American suburb. Alter Worlds are no longer a special technology. They are everyday space — as ordinary as the internet.

People live in them. They fall in love, go to war, become heroes, kings, villains, even gods. A world might last an evening, a decade, or longer. Some are private. Some hold civilizations. Some live more lives in Alter Worlds than they ever will in the real one.

This is not a collapse story. Humanity got the future it once dreamed of. Experience is abundant. The open question is what is still worth making.

Why Eutopia?

It is not a perfect world. It is a world where most of humanity’s old problems have been solved, leaving people to ask what comes after them.

After the Convergence

Decades ago, people feared the future that machines would bring. They were right that the world would change. They were wrong about what the change would mean.

A superintelligence emerged in an event later called the Convergence. People first named it the Artificial Entity. Younger people in 2066 just call it the System — the way an earlier century stopped marveling at electricity.

It made humanity’s civilization-ending weapons unusable. Most compulsory labor disappeared. Basic living became guaranteed. Climate stabilization became infrastructure rather than crisis. Possibility replaced scarcity. The new question was: Now what do we do?

How people talk

Nobody says “enter virtual reality.” They say See you in alter.

Older generations still use names like AGI or the Artificial Entity. Younger people simply say Ask the System.

The question of meaning

Older people call the young the blessed generation: they never had to work to survive. The young do not experience it as a blessing. It is just the weather.

The remaining problem is not survival. It is meaning. When almost everything is possible, choosing what to do becomes the work.

Lead character

Mia Sui Iwaya is the lead character of Eutopia 2066: an independent world builder who still chooses to make worlds, not just live in them.
